Job Summary
Amend Business Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and strategic IT Specialist to lead and oversee all aspects of its information technology infrastructure and systems. This critical role involves the comprehensive management of all IT components, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and alignment with the company's business objectives. The IT Specialist will be responsible for network environments, cloud services, hardware, software, data management, cybersecurity, and providing overarching technical leadership and support. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT strategy, on-premise networking, Microsoft cloud services (especially Dynamics 365), and robust IT infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
The IT Specialist will be responsible for the comprehensive management of all IT components and functions, including but not limited to:
- Strategic IT Leadership & Management: Develop, implement, and manage IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with Amend Business Solutions' goals. Oversee the entire IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Manage IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence. Lead and mentor IT support staff, if applicable, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Manage IT vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs). Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing costs while ensuring necessary technology investments.
- Network Infrastructure Management: Configure, maintain, and secure all network components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi networks across all departments and locations. Design and implement network segmentation and isolated subnets for secure departmental access (e.g., Finance, Operations). Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues proactively.
- Cloud Services Management (Microsoft 365 & Others): Strategically deploy, manage, and provide expert support for Microsoft 365 services—including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and OneDrive. Set up and manage user accounts, group policies, permissions, and licenses for all cloud services. Evaluate and integrate other relevant cloud-based business applications as needed.
- Hardware & Software Management: Oversee the procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of all company hardware (servers, workstations, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals). Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues. Manage software licenses, installations, and updates for all business applications.
- Cybersecurity & Data Management: Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols, including endpoint protection, intrusion detection, and data encryption. Develop and manage data backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity. Oversee data storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and compliance. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- IT Support & Helpdesk Operations: Act as the primary point of escalation for complex IT-related issues. Oversee the internal IT support function, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues. Develop and implement efficient IT service delivery processes.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of all IT infrastructure, configurations, credentials, policies, and procedures (SOPs). Ensure all IT operations comply with relevant industry standards and data protection regulations.

- Strong strategic understanding of IT infrastructure and its alignment with business goals.
- Proven expertise in managing and supporting comprehensive IT environments, including on-premise and cloud solutions.

- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365 architecture, administration, and services, especially Dynamics 365.
- Solid understanding of network design, security best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to infrastructure management.
- Clear and effective communicator, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in managing IT documentation and processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 1–3 years of progressive experience supporting and managing IT infrastructure in a business setting.
- Proven deployment and administration experience with Microsoft 365 environments, including Dynamics 365.
- Demonstrated experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) configuration and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, ITIL) are highly desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues confidently.
